The Armagh Hurlers were the only senior side that tasted victory over the weekend and they done so in convincing fashion, beating neighbours Monaghan by an astonishing 21 points to make it two from two in the league.
The senior footballers made the trip to Portlaoise on Saturday evening and returned with a six point defeat after an underwhelming performance that saw Laois control the contest from start to finish and run out deserving winners.
The Ladies also suffered their first defeat of the league campaign but pushed Tyrone right to the very end, losing by just two points, the first time in 24 years that Tyrone have beaten Armagh in the league.
