Aidan Nugent represents Armagh in Online Fifa20 Charity Tournament

GAA stars from across the 32 counties in Ireland will take part in an online Fifa20 tournament this weekend. All the money raised will go towards the frontline workers in the HSE and the NHS.

The Irish Times journalist Joanne O’Riordan, along with the GPA and the Insomnia Dublin Games Festival, have all teamed up to bring this unique event together.

Selected fixtures within the competition will be streamed live on the Insomnia Dublin Games Festival Facebook page, and donations to the worthy cause can be made via the events Go Fund Me page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/zqvjmp-FIFA

Each player has been paired with a Champions League team from the 2019 season, and the tournament will be working off the 2020 GAA Championship format.

As Armagh were due to face Derry in the first round of the Ulster Championship this season, Nugent, playing as AEK Athens, will be up against Derry man Ruairi Mooney (Juventus).

Should the Cullyhanna man make it through the first round, the winner of Donegal (Oisin Gallen/Schalke 04) and Tyrone (Niall Morgan/Chelsea) will await in the semi final.

The top two players who make it through their respective provinces will then go head-to-head in the All-Ireland Final on Sunday the 3rd of May.
