Former Kerry star Kieran Donaghy has been added to Kieran McGeeney’s backroom team for the 2021 season.
First reported by Andy Watters of The Irish News, the four-time All-Ireland winner has been drafted in by Geezer.
This may come as a bit of a surprise to GAA fans around the country, but it’s news Armagh followers will be excited about.
The Kerry great has a background in basketball and it’s likely he will bring this knowledge into the Armagh set up.
Donaghy famously burst onto the scene in 2006, breaking Armagh hearts in the All-Ireland quarter final with a superb goal.
The Orchard County will compete in Division One next season, so Donaghy’s experience could be vital for McGeeney’s men.
