First reported today by Niall McCoy and the Gaelic Life, Jim McCorry has stepped aside from his role in Kieran McGeeney’s management team.
McCorry has been McGeeney’s number two for the last three championship campaigns and it is believed the decision is based on “personal and family reasons”.
Back in early November, the Lurgan native took over the reigns of Down club Burren for the 2021 season but insisted it would not impact on his role within Armagh.

McCorry spent three successful years with Down kingpins Kilcoo before being appointed manager of the Mourne men.
The Orchard County have enjoyed some positive news in recent weeks with the addition of Kieran Donaghy to the management team.
As well as that, Ross McQuillan and Ciaron O’Hanlon have returned to the fold for the new 2021 season.
However, McGeeney is likely to be on the look out for a new number two for the upcoming year following McCorry’s departure.
