By the middle of January, most new year resolutions have been sent tumbling to the scrap heap, with February now the starting date to get in shape.
Armagh LGFA’s ‘Virtual February Fitness Challenge’ kicks off in just under three weeks, and it’s the perfect opportunity to pull on the running shoes and hit the road.
The aim for each participant competing in the challenge. is to reach 100km in February’s 28 days, by running, walking or cycling and prizes will be given out along the way.
Armagh are the first county in Ireland to build a training facility for their ladies teams and money donated to the fundraiser will help ‘Light Killean’ in 2021.
They will also be supporting ‘Friends of the Cancer Centre’ as former captain Mags McAlinden battled breast cancer and received great help from the centre throughout her treatment.
