Tullysaran produced one of the best performances of the 2020 championship in last years Quarter Final.
They dominated one of the favourites for the competition Sarsfields with an all action display and qualified for the last four.
That was as far as they got however. St Paul’s proved a step too the next day out, despite scoring goals inside the opening five minutes.
Tullysaran will aim to go one further this season. They carry the weight of the favourites tag into the game this weekend.
Relegated Tir na nOg
They meet a Tir na nOg side that have been relegated to Division 2B for 2022, having lost 13 of their 14 league games.
Brian Mallon has hung up the boots this season, and will instead lead from the dugout in the Bainisteoir bib.

The Portadown men will miss his attacking influence and it will be interesting to note how they get on without him.
Damian McDonald is the sides captain and he’ll man the Tir na nOgs defensive square along with Joseph Weir.
Zion McKernan and Oisin Conaty were county minors in 2020 and could play some part this weekend.
Tullysaran have quality spread throughout the pitch that can cause trouble for any team at this level.

James Madden, Matthew Kernan and Turlough Lardner are all attack minded defenders capable of scoring.
All out attack
Up front they will look to Gavin Conlon, Mark McKeever and Eddie Mallon to do most of the scoring.
Eoghan Daly goes through a mountain of work while Brian Kelly holds the fort at centre half back.
Tullysaran should get through this game and make their to the quarter finals to meet the winner of An Port Mor and Forkhill.
