Team of the Week – Week Seven

Tiarnan McConville (Crossmaglen)

Another confident performance from the Crossmaglen netminder. Done well on his own kickouts and kept a clean sheet for the third game in a row.

Oisin Richards (Cuchulainns II)

Battled hard in a full back line that didn’t concede a goal against St Malachy’s and helped his side secure a place in the Junior final.

Barry McCambridge (Clann Eireann)

A terrific display by one of the up and coming stars in Armagh football. Rattled the net with one of the goals of the weekend and finished with 1-1.

Sean Garvey (Silverbridge)

Saturday was a difficult evening for Silverbridge but some of Garvey’s one on one defending really caught the eye.

Niall McKee (Ballymacnab)

Worked seriously hard in the middle third of the field for Ballymacnab as they mounted a comeback against Clann Eireann.

James Morgan (Crossmaglen)

Morgan is having one of his best seasons in recent years. His raiding runs forward have proved unstoppable throughout the championship.

Emily Druse (Armagh Harps)

The Armagh Harps Ladies were on Ulster duty at the weekend and lost out to Moneyglass. Druse was one of the best players on the pitch however and rattled the net twice.

Tiernan Kelly (Clann Eireann)

Kelly’s powerful running ability is a serious asset for Clann Eireann. He created the first goal and chipped in with two points at the end to win the game.

Rory Grugan (Ballymacnab)

Another super display for the Nabs talisman. Grugan top scored once again with 1-5 and set up their other major with a great pass.

Fiachra Bradley (Craobh Rua)

Helped the reigning Junior Champions into their second final in as many years with a fantastic performance against Killeavy.

Tony Kernan (Crossmaglen)

Kernan seemed to be surrounded by space every time he got the ball and was always an outlet in the half forward line.

Pauric Gribben (Ballymacnab)

Worked his hard out for the Nab in an attempt to get them to another final. Rattled the net and repaid the favour to Grugan, setting him up with an accurate through ball.

Daniel Magee (Clann Eireann)

Magee had a massive impact on the game as he rattled the net twice and set up Barry McCambridge for his first half goal.

Dean Gaffney (Middletown)

Starred for Middletown as they dismantled Derrynoose in the Senior Semi Final. Ended the game with 2-9 to his name.

Conor Corvan (Keady)

Rattled off a personal tally of 2-6 all from play as Keady over ran Sean Treacy’s to book their spot in the Senior showpiece.
