Ballymacnab 0-12 Granemore 1-7
Ballymacnab clinched their third Senior title in a row with a two point win over rivals Granemore.
It was a repeat of the 2020 showpiece, with the outcome the same as last year.
The Nab made the brighter start, but didn’t score in the final quarter as Granemore pushed hard to keep in the contest.
The champions raced into an early five point lead with Aoibhin O’Hare (2), Meabh McAleavey, Player of the Match Cara Crilly and Eimear Smyth all getting on the score sheet.

Granemore fought back with the only goal of the game. Laura Cara reacted quickest to a loose ball and fired to the net.
Katie Doyle (free) narrowed the gap further but scores from Smyth and O’Hare had Ballymacnab ahead 0-7 to 1-1 at the water break.
Ellie McKee opened her account (free) while Smyth and Doyle exchanged scores from the dead ball to see St Brenda’s 0-9 to 1-2 up at the interval.
Ballymacnab could have been further ahead but for some brilliant saves from goalkeeper Ciarrai Devlin, who moved to the full forward line in a tactical second half switch.

McKee and Doyle both hit two after Smyth opened the scoring for the for the second half. That edged the leaders further in front, 0-12 to 1-4 at the end of the third quarter.
Granemore had one final big push left in them and they held their opponents scoreless during the final 15 minutes.
Corinna Doyle claimed her sides first point from play while Katie Doyle extended her personal tally with two more frees.
That’s as close as Granemore could get however as Ballymacnab hung on to get over the line by two points.
