Senior Team of the Year – Goalkeepers

Eoghan Mulholland (Clann Eireann)

The Clann Eireann number one had an impressive season protecting the goals for the county champions.

He kept two clean sheets against Grange and Cross and would often break forward as an extra man.

His kickouts were good throughout the campaign and his accurate restarts more often than not found their target.

Tiernan McConville (Crossmaglen)

One mistake shouldn’t overshadow McConville’s season as he enjoyed a fine year between the sticks for Cross.

His displays against Clan na Gael, Madden, Killeavy and Silverbridge were all top notch.

McConville kept two clean sheets in his five outings and formed a good connection with Rian O’Neill on his restarts.

Conor McGivern (Ballymacnab)

Made a fantastic start to the campaign by keeping a clean sheet in the first round win over Granemore.

Produced several brilliant stops, although was unlucky against the Ogs, when his save ricocheted out to an Ogs man who found the net.

McGivern’s kickouts were a big asset to the Nab men as they reached the last four of the competition.

Chris Reel (Silverbridge)

Silverbridge were one of the surprise packages of the senior championship as they made their way to the last four.

The Harps men were also involved in one of the games of the season in their quarter final shootout against Cullyhanna.

Reel stood tall and performed admirably in all four of their championship outings and kick started several of their attacks with his accurate restarts.
