Division Three Match Reports – Week Four

Division Three – Clady 3-15 O’Hanlon’s 1-7

Only six Junior teams were in action over the weekend, with Clady taking on Redmond O’Hanlon’s in the early throw in.

Clady were huge 14-point winners on the day, earning their first win of the league campaign.

The sides were tied 0-2 each early on before Clady raced into a 0-9 to 0-5 lead. A Kieran Connelly goal helped the eventual winners go 1-11 to 1-6 in front at the break.

They stretched their advantage to seven early in the second period before Colm Savage netted his sides second goal.

Malachy McGeown nailed the third and final goal of the game and ensured maximum points for Clady.

Killeavy II 1-12 St Michael’s 1-13

Killeavy II suffered their third straight defeat of the season following previous loses to Dorsey and Mullabrack.

This was a game that St Michael’s dominated but could never pull away to win convincingly. Killeavy stuck with them the whole way through.

Seamie Finnegan claimed the decisive goal for the home side, who continued their promising form with another win.

Sunday saw Newtown pick up their second victory of the season as they also defeated Clady this weekend while drawing with Derrynoose on the opening day of the campaign.

Eire Og 3-10 Lissummon 0-7

Eire Og look unstoppable at the top of Division Three and extended their winning streak to four in a row on Sunday.

They kick started their season with victories over Mullabrack, St Michael’s and O’Hanlon’s.

Sunday’s victory sees them top the table as the only team yet to drop any points in the whole division.

Lissummon on the other hand remain in midtable after their four recent outings.
