Division 3 Match Reports – Week Ten

Division 3 – Derrynoose 1-11 Dorsey 0-6

Derrynoose continued their unbeaten run on Friday evening and remain at the top of the Division Three table.

Paul Doyle’s men stretched their winning streak to eight games in a row, winning every outing since their opening day draw with St Michael’s.

The home side led by six points at the halfway stage, with the half time score reading Derrynoose 0-7 Dorsey 0-1.

Dorsey gave a better showing on the scoreboard after the turnaround. But it was Derrynoose who claimed the all-important goal.

Kevin McKenna rattled the net for the games only goal as Derrynoose ran out eight-point winners in the end.

Redmond O’Hanlon’s 0-10 St Michael’s 2-14

Leading the chasing pack is St Michael’s, who have currently only lost one game so far this season.

They remain two points behind league leaders Derrynoose following Friday evenings victory away to Redmond O’Hanlon’s.

Joe McClelland and Emmet O’Malley slotted home the two majors for the visiting side to earn a ten-point victory.

Lissummon 0-13 Mullabrack 1-7

Lissummon shot up to third place in the league table when they overcame Mullabrack by three points.

Having lost only twice so far in the league, Lissummon trail the table toppers by four and sit just two points behind St Michael’s.

Mullabrack gave it their all and a goal from Sean Smith, along with a personal haul of 0-4 from Aidy Trainor, wasn’t enough to get something from the game.

Thomas Davis 2-8 An Port Mor 3-4

Thomas Davis edged out An Port Mor in a goal feast, despite the visiting side raising more green flags.

The win leaves Corrinshego just one point behind the Blackwatertown men in the middle of the table.
