Division 2A – Annaghmore 0-8 Wolfe Tones 0-9
The sides played out an evenly matched affair with the Tones leaving it late to grab the winning score.
The hosts led by the minimum of margins, but Wolfe Tones nailed the final two scores of the game to steal victory.
Odhran Magee claimed the equalising score before Connell O’Hagan fired over a massive effort from 45 metres out to win the game.
The victory sees Wolfe Tones rest above Annaghmore and the relegation zone by two points.
Belleek 0-11 Forkhill 2-5
Belleek remain the only unbeaten team in Division 2B as they earned a share of the spoils against Forkhill.
In a repeat of the 2020 Junior Championship final, the home side held the ascendancy for large periods.
Belleek raced into a 4-2 lead with Cormac Toner the man responsible for both of Forkhill’s scores.
Owen Donaghy traded scores with the opposition while Toner knocked over a third. Belleek led at the interval by just one-point 0-5 to 0-4.
Conaill Devlin opened Forkhill’s account after the turnaround as Belleek kept ahead, leading 8-5 after the third quarter.
Substitution Marcus McKeown turned the game on its head and dragged the visiting team by into contention.
McKeown nailed 1-1 after being introduced and set up Odhran Campbell’s second half major.
Belleek ensured their unbeaten run remained intact as star man Callum O’Neill fired over a great individual score to tie the game.
Tir na nOg 1-17 Culloville 1-8
In the tie of the round Tir na nOg made home advantage count as they climbed to the top of the table, ahead of Belleek on score difference.
The visiting side hit the first goal but Tir na nOg built up a strong lead by the break, winning 0-11 to 1-3 at half time.
Tir na nOg pushed on in the second half and a converted penalty from Oisin Conaty ensured they claimed the maximum points on offer.
