Division 3A & 3B Match Reports – Week 14

Derrynoose 4-11 Dorsey 0-13

Two goals either side of half time saw Derrynoose continue their winning run as they remain top of Division 3A.

Dorsey opened the scoring with a brace before the home side got up and running though Pearse Lennon.

Davy McCreesh slotted home the first goal of the game before Seanie Lennon doubled that number.

McCreesh and Fabio Moreira both saw their pointed frees cancelled out by scores from the opposition.

Cian McMullan split a pair of Dorsey points just before the short whistle sounded. Derrynoose led at the break 2-4 to 0-6.

McCreesh claimed the match ball when he earned his hattrick with two goals, including a penalty, early in the second period.

Dorsey continued to battle and raised a number of white flags in the second half but the concession of the three-pointers proved costly.

Pearse Lennon, McCreesh, Mark Lennon, and Sean McGuigan tagged on scores as the hosts ran out convincing winners.

Elsewhere, a second half own goal saw St Michael’s lose out to Middletown by two points, 1-10 to 0-11.

Middletown made it two wins from two this week as they defeated Lissummon on Monday, 3-10 to 0-13.

Lissummon bounce back on Friday however as they edged past Eire Og with the minimum to spare. 0-14 to 2-13.

Thomas Davis enjoyed a handsome win over O’Hanlon’s on Friday evening, who remain at the bottom of the league.

Division 3B

The Corrinshego men netted three times to win 3-15 to 1-6 and rest at the top of the Division 3B table.

Killeavy II earned their fifth win of the season when they travelled to An Port Mor and left with the two points on offer.

The hosts claimed goals from Matty Walsh and David Curran, but Killeavy had enough to seal a two-point win, 3-11 to 2-12.
