Recent History – Armagh v Antrim

Armagh and Antrim will share the field on Sunday for the fourth time this season when they meet in the All-Ireland final.

The Orchard ladies have had huge success so far against the Saffron’s, winning all three encounters.

Antrim have given Armagh their biggest test to date in the championship, with Jim McKernan’s side just edging through in the end.

Antrim 0-6 Armagh 0-8 (Division Three National League Round Three)

Armagh picked up their first win of the league campaign when they travelled to Dunsilly in round three of the league.

An opening day defeat to Cavan followed by a second-round draw with Dublin saw the Orchard start slowly to the league.

But their two-point win away to Antrim saw them finish the league on a high and set them up for the championship.

Ciara Donnelly top scored with 0-3 while Rachael Merry (0-2), Leanne Donnelly (0-1), Hannah Duffy (0-1) and Corinna Doyle (0-1) also raised white flags.

Armagh 0-13 Antrim 0-6 (Ulster Intermediate Final)

Armagh claimed their second Ulster title in a row when they overcame Antrim by seven points in a repeat of the 2021 final.

This game proved much closer than last season, but Armagh had enough quality to see off the Saffron challenge.

A four-point half time lead, 0-8 to 0-4, set the Orchard up well for the second period and they pushed on after the turnaround.

Ciara Donnelly topped the scoring charts again with a personal haul of 0-6. Leanne Donnelly got 0-3 while Corinna Doyle, Jennifer Curry, Michelle McArdle and Ciara Hill all hit 0-1.

Armagh 1-18 Antrim 1-16 (Junior Championship Round Four)

Following huge wins over Limerick, Down and Roscommon, Armagh faced a huge test when they took on Antrim in round four of the championship.

Antrim were in flying form during the opening period and pulled ahead by seven at half time. 0-12 to 0-5.

A quick fire 1-12 from Ciara Donnelly brought the Orchard right back into contention. A Jennifer Curry score eventually put Armagh ahead.

Antrim grabbed a goal of their own in the final few minutes, but Armagh held their nerve to see out an incredible comeback.
