St Malachy’s 1-14 Cuchulainns II 1-13
It went right down to the wire in Portadown on Tuesday evening as St Malachy’s edged through their championship opener with one point to spare.
A Cuchulainns II goal during the opening period saw them hold a slender two-point lead at the break. 0-8 to 1-7.
The home side, led on the scoreboard by Joe McKeever (0-6), Fergal Beattie (0-4) and James Hamill (0-4), got a goal four minutes from time to win the game.
Ciaran Mulholland was responsible for the all-important three pointer and his major ensured victory for the hosts.
Keady II 3-8 Killeavy 0-10
Keady II hit three goals on Tuesday night to claim an opening day win. They also shot to top spot in the round robin group.
SP Gibney, Conor Shortt and Lee McParland all hit the net as the home side ran out seven-point winners in the end.

Senior Championship
Derrynoose 0-12 Keady 3-18
Keady started the championship brilliantly as they were 15-point winners over Derrynoose on Tuesday evening.
The margin was nine at the interval thanks to two first half goals. That really set the tone for the travelling side.
Man of the Match Conor Corvan hit the games first goal after four minutes before Odhran Fullerton raised a second green flag.
Keady led 2-8 to 0-5 at the halfway stage. They pushed on after the turnaround with a third and final major.
College All-Star Tomas Gavin found the net midway through the second half and Keady comfortably saw out the rest of the game.

Cuchulainns 0-17 Craobh Rua 1-16
Craobh Rua began life in the senior grade with an impressive victory following a powerful second half performance.
The home side Cuchulainns controlled the opening period and held a five-point lead by the time the short whistle sounded. 0-12 to 0-7.
But the 2021 Ulster Junior Champions edged ahead by the end of the game thanks to a goal from Jarly Og Burns, who finished with 1-1.
