Granemore 1-5 Ballymacnab 0-6
Granemore snatched a late, dramatic victory against rivals Ballymacnab to win the Senior Camogie Championship crown.
Trailing by one point with time almost up, Ailish McVeigh fired a long ball towards the Ballymacnab defensive square.
The ball travelled all the way into the goal and gave Granemore a two-point lead with no time for Ballymacnab to save the game.
Ballymacnab, who were battling for four titles in a row, hadn’t been behind throughout the entire game until the 64th minute.
Eimear Smyth got them up and running with a pointed free inside the opening two minutes of the match.

Rachael Merry soon levelled for Granemore in a first half that was fairly nip and tuck throughout.
In fact, Merry claimed all of Granemore’s points on the night, with five scores coming from the dead ball.
Smyth edged Ballymacnab ahead once again before Eabha Lennon extended that lead to two points.
Merry fired over a brace to tie the game at three points apiece, but the Nab nudged ahead juts before the break.
Smyth nailed her third score of the half to put her side ahead by the minimum at the half time break. 0-4 to 0-3.

Once again it was up to Rachael Merry to get Granemore back on level terms and she did so with the first point of the second half.
A powerful run by Michelle McArdle created another score for Ballymacnab, with Kate Crilly raising a white flag.
Smyth notched another to put her side two to the good, although Merry halved that deficit once again.
Then came the big turning point and McVeigh’s long range three-pointer sealed the deal for Granemore.
