CONOR MCKEOWN (SHANE O’NEILL’S)

Pulled off an outstanding save in the Intermediate Championship final which kept Shane O’Neill’s in touch. As it turned out, that save was a crucial part of Shane O’Neill’s late comeback that got them over the line.

McKeown kept two clean sheets in the championship campaign against both Whitecross and St Peter’s. He could do very little to deny Andrew Murnin in the final but enjoyed a great display between the sticks.

CIARAN FOX (ST PAUL’S)

Fox enjoyed another good year between the sticks for St Paul’s as they were a whisker away from championship success. His booming kickouts were a great asset to the Lurgan men, as they displayed throughout the year.

Fox will be disappointed with the concession of the late goal in the championship final to Shane O’Neill’s. He was upended for the first of Shane’s two three-pointers at the start of the game that day as well.

MICHAEL NUGENT (CULLOVILLE)

Nugent kept two clean sheets in three of his championship outings, against Keady in the opening round and against Collegeland in the one-sided quarter final. He could do very little about two of the three goals in the semi-final.

Paul O’Rourke’s half volley caught everyone off guard while Aodhan Conlon palmed home the second goal. Nugent will be disappointed with the concession of the third goal, but that shouldn’t overshadow a good season for the Culloville netminder.

PAURIC MCGLONE (TULLYSARAN)

McGlone was in magnificent form all throughout the championship and made some great eye-catching saves. He pulled off two fantastic stops against Belleek in the quarter final that kept Tullysaran in the championship.

Had three really good performances in the championship that helped Tullysaran make their way to the last four. His kick outs were usually spot on and his shot stopping ability proved to be his main feature.
