PEARSE LENNON (DERRYNOOSE)

Helped Derrynoose go all the way in the championship and recorded a number of fine performances throughout the year. Lennon offered a real scoring threat and his pace from deep caused numerous headaches for ever opposition.

The Derrynoose midfielder often got on the scoresheet right throughout the championship. He chipped in with a further 0-2 in the final win over Lissummon.

PETER QUINN (LISSUMMON)

The Lissummon captain guided his side to the Junior Championship final as they experienced a great season. Quinn proved a real powerhouse around the middle and his hard work in that area was crucial for Lissummon.

He formed a solid partnership with Damian O’Hagan in the centre of the park for Seamus Loughran’s men.

VANCE DOHERTY (AN PORT MOR)

Had a great year in the centre of the park for An Port Mor as they reached the latter end of the Junior Championship. Doherty always provided an outlet for kickouts and certainly held his own around the middle of the field.

An Port Mor’s season was eventually ended by Lissummon in the semi-final of the junior championship. But it was still a memorable year for the Blackwatertown men.

SEAN MCGUIGAN (DERRYNOOSE)

McGuigan formed a great partnership with Pearse Lennon in the middle of the field as Paul Doyle’s men done the double. McGuigan netted in the opening round of the championship against St Michael’s, turning the tide in Derrynoose’s favour.

The Derrynoose midfielder often got on the scoresheet and chipped in with a point in the final against Lissummon.

DAMIAN O’HAGAN (LISSUMMON)

Missed the opening round of the championship against Killeavy II but O’Hagan was a great addition to the team for the rest of the campaign. Full of running, the Lissummon midfielder was a handful for every team they faced.

O’Hagan was also well fit to kick a score when in range and was one of five Lissummon scores in the final.
