CAOLAN MCCANN (SEAN TREACY’S)
Caolan McCann picked up the Man of the Match award as Sean Treacy’s captured the Junior Hurling Championship title. The Lurgan netminder was in impressive form for Liam Kelly’s side as they saw off Keady with three points to spare in the end.
McCann conceded a dubious goal in the showpiece, but other than that had a stunning performance. His display was a big reason why Sean Treacy’s got over the line and made it to the last four in Ulster.

CONOR MCANALLEN (KEADY)
McAnallen was caught with a long-range goal from a free in the first semi-final against Cuchulainns but kept a clean sheet in the replay in which Keady won handsomely in the end with an 11-point victory, 1-16 to 0-11.
The Keady goalkeeper also didn’t concede goals in the opening rounds of the group stages against both Derrynoose and Craobh Rua. Keady conceded a goal in the final as they lost out to Middletown by four points.

FINTAN WOODS (MIDDLETOWN)
Woods has been an outstanding goalkeeper for Middletown over the last number of years and 2022 was no different. The Armagh netminder collected two clean sheets as Middletown topped the group during the round robin stages of the competition.
Those came in the first two rounds against Cuchulainns, and Craobh Rua as Middletown took two huge win. Woods’ puck out delivery was always spot on and provided his side with a huge platform to build attacks.

JOBY BURKE (KEADY II)
The experienced Keady netminder enjoyed a good season between the sticks for the seconds team as they reached the Junior Championship final. Keady II just lost out in the end to Sean Treacy’s with three the difference.
Burke was the only goalkeeper of the four finalists that didn’t concede a goal on the big day. He also held clean sheets against Killeavy twice, Sean Treacy’s twice and Cuchulainns II throughout the championship.
