Armagh and Roscommon battled it out three times during the 2022 season, and the game had three very different results.
The Rossies emerged victorious twice and were much the better side when they clashed in the Nicky Rackard Cup.
Armagh did earn a league victory however, that saw them qualify for the Division 3A league final, although they eventually lost to Tyrone.

2022: Armagh 2-7 Roscommon 5-19 (Nicky Rackard Cup R1)
The most recent encounter between Armagh and Roscommon was on to forget for the Orchard County.
Following on from their tight league meetings the two teams share, this result certainly came out of the blue.
Three first half goals from the visiting side gave them a massive 17-point lead at half time, 3-12 to 0-4.
Substitute Eoin McGuinness and Shea Harvey netted in the second half, but the result was way out of reach.

2022: Roscommon 0-20 Armagh 1-22 (National Hurling League semi-final)
It was a winner takes all clash between these two, with the winner booking their spot in the Division 3A league final.
Roscommon had already notched one win over the Orchard County, so held the favourites tags pre-game.
Armagh were down by three at the half time interval, 0-13 to 0-10, but produced a brilliant second half display.
Corner forward Shea Harvey claimed the all-important goal as Armagh ran out five-point winners in the end.

2022: Armagh 1-19 Roscommon 2-17 (National Hurling League R4)
After their first round defeat to Tyrone, Armagh were hoping to bounce back against Roscommon, but it didn’t quite work out that way.
This was a hugely entertaining encounter between two sides that would meet two more times in 2022.
It was an evenly matched contest, with the sides level 13 times throughout the game. But Roscommon just did enough to earn a one-point win.
Jim Short top scored on the day for the Orchard County, finishing with 1-2 to his name from wing half back.
