Kildare grabbed a third, although it was cancelled out this time by Jennifer Curry’s first score of the day.

Three on the trot from Donnelly, Ellie McKee and Eimear Smyth extended Armagh’s lead. The away team headed into the break with five-points to the good, 0-8 to 0-3.

Donnelly and Merry pushed Armagh further ahead before Kildare pulled one back three minutes later.

Merry rattled the net for the game’s first goal and traded points with the home side to extend Armagh’s run to ten.

Sinead Quinn then rattled the net to further show Armagh’s dominance. Ciarrai Devlin also pulled off some super saves at the other end.

The win places Armagh at the top of the table, having won both their opening games, heading into the final round.

They take on Tyrone next weekend, once again a way from home, and will be eager to continue their winning form.
