It’s a must win game in Middletown tomorrow for the Armagh hurlers as they take on Fermanagh in the final round of the league.
At the minute, Armagh sit third in the Division 3A table, clinging on to the final semi-final spot.
Monaghan and Roscommon are the two teams above them and they are the two teams that have already defeated Armagh.
Those two face off this weekend, meaning that a win for Armagh would guarantee them a place in the semi-finals.
But they’re not in the best of form heading into this one. Karl McKeegan’s side suffered a huge 20-point defeat at the hands of the Rossies last weekend.

The game was more or less over at the interval, with the home side 0-14 to 0-3 ahead. Two second half goals put the game way out of Armagh’s reach.
Fermanagh’s Form
Fermanagh will be fairly well pleased with their performance to date, even if they have suffered some heart-breaking defeats.
A last minute goal from Monaghan in the first round got Fermanagh’s campaign off to a losing start.
But they bounced back brilliantly with a two-point win over Mayo before a 1-17 apiece draw with Roscommon.
They’re also marching into the final round of the league off the back of a defeat, having lost to Louth last week.

One point was the difference at the end of the game and like Armagh, Fermanagh are still in with a chance of claiming a semi-final spot.
So it’s all to play for and winning is a must for both if they are eyeing up promotion to Division 2B.
Armagh haven’t competed at that level since 2018 while Fermanagh are just up from Division 3B.
Promotion has been Armagh’s main objective this year, and they are still on track to achieve that. it won’t be easy, but Armagh should have enough to earn the win.
