League Previews – Division 3B

Ahead of the upcoming league campaign, we’ve taken a look at the ins and outs of the teams competing in Division 3B.

An Port Mor

An Port Mor star forward Cormac Kieran, who ended last year’s championship as their top scorer, has gone to America.

They will also be without the services of Vance Doherty, Mark Donnelly and Jack McQuade, who have all gone travelling.

Clady

Clady have former Madden defender Kieran Grimley to call upon this season and he’ll certainly strengthen their back line.

Malachy Savage and Conor Doyle may also return from injury, and they will be major boosts for Clady.

Clann Eireann II

The Clann Eireann IIs team will be made up of a combination of youngsters with a few more experienced heads.

The likes of 2021 Senior Championship winner John McLaughlin will be part of the Lurgan side.

Killeavy II

Killeavy II’s won the Division 3B league title last season, defeating Thomas Davis to claim the cup on the final day.

2017 Armagh Club All-Star Raymond Taggart was the captain of the team in 2022 and remains one of their key men.

Mullabrack

Former Armagh Harps attacker Padraic Rafferty has joined Mullabrack and will be a great option in attack.

Rafferty was part of the Harps squad that made back-to-back SFC finals in 2014 and 2015 but lost both to Crossmaglen.

Redmond O’Hanlon’s

O’Hanlon’s will be without their main forward Charlie Magill who remains in America on work commitments.

Magill played a few league games last season before relocating and missed out on their championship opener.

Thomas Davis

Thomas Davis will be working with mostly the same panel as last season. Key forward Ryan Courtney, along with Declan Jennings, are still in Canada.

The Corrinshego men will also be without their inspirational full back Keynois Crozier, who is also off to Canada.
