Division 3A – Clonmore 1-14 Eire Og 0-9
Clonmore got their Division 3A season up and running with a hard-fought home victory over Eire Og on Sunday.
Sean Quigley rattled the net from the penalty spot after the break, and that was the crucial score.
The sides were evenly matched throughout the opening half, with just one point the difference at the break. Clonmore edged ahead 0-6 to 0-5.
Quigley’s three-pointer opened up a decent lead and Clonmore ran out eight point winners in the end.

St Michael’s 0-17 Ballyhegan 0-10
Eight points from St Michael’s veteran Benny Davidson saw the Newtown men begin their season with a win.
They hosted Ballyhegan on Sunday and were seven points ahead by the time the referee called for the ball.
Davidson was the top scorer on the day for the hosts, with Brian Caherty chipping in with 0-3 as well.
Sean McVerry, Oisin Mullen, Joe McClelland, Conor Watters, Seamie Finnegan and Aidan Davidson all got on the scoresheet.

Division 3B – Mullabrack 1-7 An Port Mor 1-8
Both Mullabrack and An Port Mor played their first games of the year in a repeat of last season Junior Championship quarter final clash.
An Port Mor were convincing winners that day, but squeezed through this one with just one point to spare in the end.
A Ryan Gorman goal was the all-important, game-winning score that saw An Port Mor pick up the two points.

O’Hanlon’s 1-6 Thomas Davis 3-12
Following their opening day draw with Clady, O’Hanlon’s suffered a 12-point defeat at the hands of Thomas Davis.
Making their first appearance of the year, the Corrinshego men will be delighted with their flying start.
Killeavy II 1-8 Clady 0-11
Defending Division 3B league champions Killeavy II kickstarted their campaign with a home draw against Clady.
It’s Clady’s second draw of the season as they also finished level with O’Hanlon’s in round one.
