Armagh narrowly lost out on the Division Three league title as Carlow edged through by the minimum of margins.
It was a keenly contested affair, but Carlow got their noses ahead just at the right time to take home the trophy.
The Orchard County made the brighter start to proceedings, striking the first two points of the game.
Leanne Donnelly opened the scoring with a long-range effort before Eimear Smyth slipped over from a narrow angle.
Carlow had plenty of chances in the first quarter to get off the mark, but their accuracy up front let them down.
There were 21 minutes played before Carlow eventually got up and running, with a point from Eimear Byrne.
Moments later Carlow doubled their tally, before shooting ahead with another brace to lead 0-4 to 0-2.
Jennifer Curry slashed over a super score, but that was cancelled out by Eleanor Tracey just before the break.
Carlow opened the scoring for the second period through Eve Sinnott, to put them three points clear.
Corinna Doyle matched the Carlow effort, swinging over her first moments after being introduced.

Rachael Merry than raised three white flags on the trot to hand the Orchard County the lead once again.
Carlow added another to tie the game before Sinnott, a first half substitute, knocked over the winning score.
It was heartache for Sean Hughes’ side, who have played some superb stuff throughout the league, but didn’t get their reward.
Attention will swiftly turn to the championship where Armagh will once again target the All-Ireland Junior title.
