Donegal 2-4 Armagh 1-15
A second half goal from Kelly Mallon, along with six-points from Aimee Mackin, handed Armagh their first win of the championship.
Mackin, recently named as the LGFA Player of the Month for April, top scored on the day with 0-9 to her name.
The Orchard Ladies, aiming for three Ulster titles on the trot this season, faced a difficult opener against Donegal, away from home.
It was a repeat of the last two Ulster Championship finals, which Armagh won in dramatic circumstances on both occasions.

This one wasn’t as dramatic however. While Armagh didn’t run away with it, they were comfortable winners in the end.
Conditions favoured the hosts in the first half. Shane McCormack’s side had to come from two down to win the game.
Two early goals from Tara Hegarty and Amy Boyle Carr put Donegal in control in the first half.
Three Mackin frees helped Armagh narrow the gap by the half time break however, with Donegal ahead 2-1 to 0-5.

Second half
The visitors continued their fine form in front of the posts at the start of the second half, with five scores on the bounce.
Catriona O’Hagan and Cait Towe got in on the scoring act as the Orchard got their noses ahead.
With Armagh comfortably ahead, Kelly Mallon put the icing on the cake, netting in the final moments.
It’s Cavan up next for Armagh. The sides will battle it out as a curtain raiser to the Ulster final next Sunday in Clones.
