Division 3A & 3B Previews – Gameday 7

Division 3A – All games on Friday at 7.15pm

Clonmore continued their winning streak last weekend when they picked up their fifth Division 3A victory of the season.

That sees the Clonmore men, led by player/managers Brendan Donaghy and James Grimley, claim top spot in the table.

They’ll be keen to keep their promotion push on track when they host Ballyhegan this Friday evening.

Ballyhegan got off to a shaky start to the season, losing their opening two games, but picked up a win in their most recent outing against Dorsey.

Goals from Kevin McCann and James McCormack got the Ballyhegan men up and running for the season.

Both Clonmore and Ballyhegan were relegated last season, so will be eyeing up a return to Intermediate football.

Seamus Loughran’s Lissummon have struggled in the early stages of the season, gathering three-points from four outings.

But as they showed last year by reaching the Junior final, Lissummon have plenty of quality in their ranks.

They take on Dorsey, who are at the bottom of the pile in Division 3A, on Friday, with a huge two-points up for grabs.

Dorsey have yet to gather any points for their efforts this year, losing all four of their opening four outings.

Division 3B

Following their first win of the campaign a few weeks ago, Clady will look to add another two-points to their tally on Thursday.

That was against Clann Eireann IIs, when goals from Colm Savage and Liam Doyle (2) made all the difference.

They host Mullabrack, who are currently placed at the bottom of the Division 3B league table after three games.

Hugh McSorley’s side have yet to register any points this season, so they will be aiming to pick up their first points of the campaign.

Clann Eireann enjoyed a 1-19 to 0-11 win over An Port Mor last weekend, handing the Blackwatertown men their first loss of the year.

They take on O’Hanlon’s on Friday evening, who are still searching for their first win of the campaign.
