Division 3A & 3B Previews – Gameday 8

Division 3A

There are only two Division 3A league game taking place over the weekend, one on Friday and one on Sunday.

On Friday evening, Barry Loughran’s Dorsey have home advantage when they take on Eire Og.

Dorsey currently sit at the bottom of the Division 3B league table. They’ve lost all five of their first five games.

They were beaten by double scores last weekend against Lissummon, so they’ll be eyeing up their first win of the season.

Eire Og haven’t faired much better having earned one win in four games, having beat St Michael’s by the minimum of margins.

It’s a big game for both teams and both Dorsey and Eire Og will be confident of picking up two points.

Only Ballyhegan split the two sides at the bottom of the table, and they’ll be targeting a second win of the year this weekend.

Ballyhegan take on Collegeland on Sunday (2pm), at home, and can climb to third place with a victory.

Collegeland were beaten by Clonmore in their last outing, which proved to be their first loss of the campaign.

Division 3B – All games on Friday at 7.15pm

Following on from their first win of the season last week, Mullabrack have the chance to pick up another two-points.

Aidy Trainor netted for Mullabrack against Clady last Thursday which helped Hugh McSorley’s side to a 1-8 to 1-4 win.

They’re on the road once again on Friday evening as they take on O’Hanlon’s, who sit just below Mullabrack.

Both sides are tied on two-points apiece, with Mullabrack’s superior score difference seeing them rest just above this weekend’s opponents.

Clann Eireann IIs picked up a 0-13 to 1-10 win against O’Hanlon’s in their most recent outing and they meet Killeavy IIs on Friday.

The Lurgan men sit second in the table behind An Port Mor, while Killeavy IIs have won once in four games.

Thomas Davis can keep their promotion hopes alive as they take on Clady, at home, on Friday evening.
