Two changes for Tyrone trip

Kieran McGeeney has made two changes to his starting line up as Armagh take on Tyrone in Omagh this weekend.

The Orchard County overcame Westmeath in the opening round of the All-Ireland group stages, with one-point the difference in the end.

It wasn’t Armagh’s best performance, and Kieran McGeeney believes is side will need a better display this weekend.

‘Geezer’ has made two changes to the starting line-up, with Callum Cumiskey and Conor Turbitt earning starts.

James Morgan, who limped off after 22 minutes against Westmeath, and Aidan Nugent, are the two players who miss out.

Saturday will be Cumiskey’s first start of the championship and his first start since the final round of the league, also against Tyrone.

Turbitt on the other hand was Armagh’s top scorer in the Ulster Championship and nailed the all-important goal last weekend.

Ethan Rafferty is in nets again, while Conor O’Neill, who started at centre half back last weekend, is back in the corner.

Aaron McKay and Aidan Forker complete the full back line, with Cumiskey coming into the defence at six.

On the wings, the same as last weekend against Westmeath, will be Greg McCabe and Jarly Og Burns.

There are no changes at midfield with Ben Crealey and Ciaran Mackin once again claiming the eight and nine jerseys.

The half forward line remains the same with Jason Duffy and Stefan Campbell lining up either side of Rory Grugan.

Turbitt comes into the full forward line and will start alongside last week’s Andrew Murnin and Rian O’Neill.

Paddy Burns is back amongst the subs having missed the majority of the season through injury.

Barry McCambridge, Ross McQuillan and Shane McPartlan all came off the bench in to help Armagh over the line in round one.

Shea Magill, Ciaran Higgins, Jemar Hall, Nugent, Oisin Conaty, Cian McConville and Stephen Sheridan are also on the bench.
