Division 1A & 1B Match Reports – Week Ten

Division 1A – Armagh Harps 0-9 Granemore 2-8

Two goals either side of the half time break helped Granemore overcome Armagh Harps in Friday’s Division 1A clash.

The visitors lead the game from start to finish, with three Jason O’Neill points getting them off to a flyer.

Luke McKeever and Louis Hughes swapped scores before McKeever and Tadgh Grimley narrowed the gap.

Hughes raised the first green flag of the game before O’Neill added his fourth point of the game.

The Harps pointed through Cathal Agnew and Eoin Fields to cut the deficit to three points at half time, 0-5 to 1-5.

Fields opened the scoring after the break while Tom O’Kane reduced the margin to a single point.

Karl McQuaid bombed forward to rattle the net to fire his side further ahead. Three on the trot from half back Eoghan O’Neill put Granemore out of sight.

Agnew and Darragh Murphy tagged on a point apiece before the full-time whistle, but it was too little too late.

Killeavy 0-9 Ballymacnab 0-9

Ballymacnab earned a draw against Killeavy, clipping over the final three points of the game to tie the game.

The sides were matched early on, with Ronan McGuinness and Callum O’Hare see their efforts cancelled out by Pearse and Kieran Hughes.

Ciaran Cosgrove and Sean Boylan added scores to put the hosts two ahead. Ryan Watters exchanged points with O’Hare to leave the score 0-5 to 0-3 at half time.

Watters traded scores with Caolan McConville and Cosgrove while Cathal Boylan fired Killeavy three-points ahead.

But the Nab battled back with late scores from Finnen Maguire, Jemmy Grey and Kieran Hughes to steal a share of the spoils.

Division 1A Round Up

Madden and Crossmaglen couldn’t be separated on Friday evening and finished all square, 0-14 to 3-5.

The Raparees, playing on home turf, carried a slender one-point lead into the half time break, 0-9 to 2-2.

But the sides were tied at the full-time whistle, with Daniel Cumiskey, Harry Cumiskey and Caolan Finnegan all netting for the Rangers.

Elsewhere, Clann Eireann picked up two-points against Mullaghbawn, winning by three in the end, 0-12 to 0-9.

Division 1B – Sarsfields 1-9 Dromintee 2-14

Dromintee stormed past Sarsfields, away from home, on Friday evening to claim an eight-point win.

Four was the gap at the break, but Kieran Quinn’s men pushed on with a powerful second half display to pick up two points.

The sides were tied 0-3 each early on before 1-2 to the trot from the visitors put them ahead. Ryan Hughes hit the net while Aidan Morgan and Ryan Hughes Jnr split the posts.

Paul McGeown and Kevin McAlinden traded scores with Oran Loughran before McGeown claimed his side’s only goal.

Dromintee tagged on three of the final four points of the first half to take a 1-10 to 1-6 lead at the break.

Ryan Hughes Jnr raised a second green flag for the travelling team 13 minutes into the second half to extend their lead.

Aaron Boyle and Loughran exchanged efforts with Colin Stevenson and Fintan Kelly before the full-time whistle sounded.

Division 1B Round Up

Silverbridge extended their lead at the top of the table with a 4-9 to 1-10 victory over Maghery on Friday night.

A first half goal from Sean Rock gave the visitors a narrow one-point lead at the half time break, 0-8 to 1-6.

After the turnaround, Tiernan Murphy bagged a hattrick for the ‘Bridge to as they ran out eight-point winners.

Shane O’Neill’s saw off Grange 3-11 to 1-12 while St Peter’s overcame Clan na Gael by eight, 0-13 to 0-8.
