Culloville climbed to the top of Division 2A with a hard fought victory over Tullysaran, with two points the difference in the end.

Both sides received red cards but served up a thoroughly enjoyable encounter, with the Blues just edging through in the end.

The sides exchanged scores early on, with Ciaran Mullen and Gavin Conlon matching score from Shane Carragher and Ryan Garvey.

Mark McKeever edged the hosts ahead but a superb individual Fergal Kieran score put the sides back on level terms.

Kieran claimed his second while Dara Quinn landed his first of the evening to put his side two-points ahead.

Ryan Conlon narrowed the gap before Eddie Mallon rattled the net to put his side in front for the second time.

Gavin Conlon extended Tullysaran’s advantage but Culloville hit a purple patch and reeled off 1-4 in a matter of minutes.

Carragher’s goal kickstarted their revival. Kieran, Taidgh O’Neill, Quinn and Carragher all split the posts to put the Blues four up.

Ryan Conlon slotted over the final score of the half to reduce the margin, with Culloville ahead 1-9 to 1-6.

Ryan Conlon and McKeever closed the gap at the start of the second half while Quinn and McKeever exchanged scores.

A Quinn double put the visitors three ahead but Gavin Conlon and Ethan Kearney kept Tullysaran in touch.

But Culloville shot further ahead when a quick free played through Niall Rowland who hammered home from close range.

Four points on the trot from Tullysaran made for a nervy finish as the difference was dwindled down to just one point.

But Quinn had the final say and his last score ensured a two point win for Culloville, who now lead the way in Division 2A.
