Clann Eireann 1-15 Carrickcruppen 0-4
Clann Eireann successfully defended their Senior Championship title with a dominant display over Carrickcruppen.
It was a repeat of last year’s decider, which Clann Eireann won after a replay, but this time around it was more one sided.
The first half proved to be a long scoring affair, but the Lurgan ladies turned it up in the second half.
Niamh Murray claimed the only goal of the game and even then, Clann Eireann had build up a strong lead.
Meabh McCambridge fisted over the first score after six minutes of play, when the goal was at her mercy.
Caroline O’Hanlon tied things up for Carrickcruppen before Dearbhla Coleman edged the eventual winners un front again.
Once more, O’Hanlon was on hand to land a levelling point, but that was the final score for Carrickcruppen of the half.
Two more from Murray and Tiarna Grimes put Clann Eireann two in front at the half time break, 0-4 to 0-2.
Clann Eireann took full control of the game after the turnaround as they reeled off 1-10 on the bounce, holding Carrickcruppen scoreless for 25 minutes.
Top scorer Murray got the second half up and running as Roisin Mulligan and Grimes also raised white flags.

Aoibhinn Donohue got in on the scoring act while two more from Murray were followed by the game’s only goal.
Murray stepped forward to rattle the back of the net from the penalty spot after McCambridge had been fouled.
Murray added to her tally while captain Niamh Henderson got her name on the scoresheet with her first.
Aoibheann and Niamh Henderson stretched the lead to 15, before O’Hanlon claimed her and Carrickcruppen’s third.
Ciara Garvey and Niamh Henderson swapped scores as the defending champions saw out a comfortable 14-point win.
