Clan na Gael 1-9 Killeavy 0-7
Clan na Gael claimed a five-point win over Killeavy to book their place in the Senior Championship semi-finals.
With the aid of a big breeze in the first half, the Lurgan men built up a seven-point lead by the turnaround.
Killeavy played a large chunk of the game with 14 men. Midfielder Cathal Boylan received his marching orders 12 minutes into the game.
A goal from wing half back Sean Mackle dented any hopes of a Killeavy comeback in the second period.
Youngster Callum O’Neill got the game up and running with a point in the third minute before Stefan Campbell doubled the lead.
Campbell grabbed another, along his intentions were raising a green flag. His shot was heroically punched over the bar by Conor Maginness.
Killeavy then lost Boylan to a red card and wing half back Lee Rice, who went off with a wrist injury.
Campbell claimed his third of the afternoon before Shane McPartlan swung over a free to make it 5-0.
McPartlan grabbed another, this time from play, while ‘Soupy’ slotted over a free to leave the Clans 7-0 ahead at half time.
With the breeze at their backs now, Killeavy persisted with a long ball tactic along it made little impact.

Ronan McGuinness did get them off the mark as he landed two from the dead ball to narrow the gap.
Clans had another goal chance but once again had to settle for a point as Shea Magill saved Cian France’s punched effort.
They didn’t have to wait long for a goal however and it was worth the wait. Campbell played through Sean Mackle who fired the ball to the roof of the net.
McGuinness slotted over another two frees either side of scores from Ciaron O’Hanlon and Oisin King.
But McPartlan had the final say and he tapped over the last score of the game to see Clans ahead by five at full time.
