2023 Senior Team of the Year – Forwards

It’s time to vote for the players that you think deserve a place in the 2023 The Sideline Eye Senior Team of the Year.

10 players have been nominated for the defensive positions. Vote for the six forwards you think deserves a place on the team.

The voting polls will close at midnight on Sunday and the team will be announced next Monday.

Rian O’Neill (Crossmaglen)

O’Neill hit 2-24 throughout the championship campaign, including goals against Sarsfields and Mullaghbawn.

Stefan Campbell (Clan na Gael)

‘Soupy’ gave a performance for the ages in the semi-final against Clann Eireann, hitting a haul of 0-10.

Conor Grimley (Madden)

Grimley was the go-to scorer for Madden right throughout the Senior Championship and he finished the campaign with 0-24.

Conor Turbitt (Clann Eireann)

Turbitt carried the attacking threat for Clann Eireann in the championship, finishing the year with 2-26.

Cian McConville (Crossmaglen)

It may have taken a while for McConville to get going but when he did, he was brilliant. He scored 1-16 in Crossmaglen’s three knockout games.

Ryan Watters (Ballymacnab)

Watters was the top scorer for the Nab as they reached the last eight of the competition. He finished the year with 2-11.

Niall Henderson (Clan na Gael)

Henderson may not have got on the scoresheet that often, but his playmaking skills were essential for Clan na Gael.

Darragh McMullen (Madden)

McMullen enjoyed a fine championship campaign, and he pulled the strings for Madden in their attack.

Tiernan Murphy (Silverbridge)

Murphy finished the year as the top goal scorer in the Senior Championship. The Silverbridge sharpshooter hit 6-14 and was the second highest scorer in the championship.

Jamie Clarke (Crossmaglen)

Clarke’s cool finish from the penalty spot in the final brought his personal tally for the year to 3-11 and capped another fine season.
