Division 3B – Meet the managers

There are three new teams in Division 3B this season while five sides have retained the same managers as last year.

Clady: Peter Beagan

Peter Beagan has returned for another season with Clady and will once again have Philly Loughran in his management team.

Clady came so close to securing promotion to Division 3A last season, finishing third behind An Port Mor and Clann Eireann IIs.

Dorsey: Barry Loughran

Barry Loughran has returned as manager of his native club, heading into a second year with Dorsey.

Dorsey suffered a tough 2023 season when they were relegated from Division 3A, finishing bottom of the table.

Killeavy II: Collie Fearon

Fearon took over the reins of the Killeavy IIs team last season and is back for another year in charge.

Killeavy IIs showed their potential in the 2023 Junior Championship, reaching the last eight following some eye-catching results.

Killean: Barry O’Connor

Louth man Barry O’Connor is at the helm in Killean this year as they field a senior team for the first time since 2013.

O’Connor is back over the club having also managed them before and they’ll be keen to find their feet at senior level.

Madden II: Joe Mallon

Madden have entered a seconds team in Division 3B, and the side will be managed by former player Joe Mallon.

The Raparees have had decent underage success in recent seasons, so their side will be a mixture of young and old.

Mullabrack: Kevin Murray

Newtownhamiliton native Kevin Murray will be in charge of Mullabrack this season, replacing Hugh McSorley.

Murray was part of the Armagh u15 management team that won the Dermot Earley Michael Galveys Cup last year.

Redmond O’Hanlon’s: Tony Bagnall

Ex-Glenn manager Tony Bagnall will once again lead Redmond O’Hanlon’s having taken charge last season.

Bagnall won an Intermediate Championship title with Down club Glenn in 2019 before stepping down in 2022.

St Peter’s II: Daire Toman & Chris McCann

Two former players in Daire Toman & Chris McCann will lead St Peter’s IIs into the Division 3A campaign.

Toman was part of the St Peter’s squad that won the Intermediate Championship back in 2018, beating Mullaghbawn.

Thomas Davis: Joe O’Kane

Former Derry footballer Joe O’Kane has returned to the helm with Thomas Davis for a second successive season.

O’Kane led the Corrinshego men to the last four of the Junior Championship in 2023 when they were pipped at the post by Clann Eireann IIs.
