Division 2A Round Up

Carrickcruppen and Annaghmore couldn’t be separated in their Division 2A clash as they played out a 1-12 to 1-12 draw.

Oisin MacIomhair slotted home a penalty for the home side while it was Eoin Woods who claimed the goal for Carrickcruppen.

It’s the second week in a row where Annaghmore have drawn after their 0-8 apiece tie with Keady last week.

Cruppen remain the only unbeaten team in the division. They are joined at the top of the table by St Paul’s who also sit on six points.

Ronan Clarke’s men overcame his former club Pearse Og, the team he won a Senior Championship with in 2009, earning a 1-13 to 0-14 victory.

Jack Molloy claimed Keady’s all-important goal in their three-point win over Grange, with the game finishing 1-12 to 1-15.

Grange are out again on Monday night as they host Pearse Og and both teams currently sit on two points after three games.

Division 2B Round Up

On Thursday evening, Clann Eireann IIs edged a brilliant encounter with Clonmore, winning by 5-8 to 0-20 in the end.

Michael McCaughley hit two goals for the Lurgan men while Ruairi McConville, Rogan McVeigh and Evan McAreavey also claimed three-pointers.

Clann Eireann IIs are back in action on Sunday as they travel to face Derrynoose with a throw in time of 12pm.

Belleek picked up an important win at the top of the table as they continued their winning start with a 1-12 to 2-6 victory over Wolfe Tones.

Drew McVerry rattled the net for the victors while Oisin Sweeney and Jamie Haughey from a penalty raised the green flags for the Tones in their first defeat of the campaign.

Whitecross now sit in third position, tied on six points with the Tones, following their 2-6 to 0-10 win over Derrynoose.

Aidan Finnegan rattled off both of the three-pointers for Whitecross and both came from the penalty spot.
