Division 3A Round Up

Eire Og upset the odds on Friday night as they handed Middletown their first defeat of the Division 3A league season.

In doing so, the Craigavon side also picked up their first points and put an end to their losing streak.

Eoghan O’Hagan claimed the all-important three-pointer for the home side as they saw out a 1-10 to 0-11 win.

Middletown’s defeat sees Ballyhegan climb to the top of to the due to their superior score difference. Both sides are tied on eight points.

Ballyhegan overcame An Port Mor by the minimum of margins to pick up their fourth straight victory.

James McCormack top scored with 0-8 in their 1-13 to 1-12 win. JP McKeever (1-3), Ryan Gribben (0-1) and Mark Hughes (0-1) also scored for the winners.

Elsewhere, Forkhill saw off Lissummon by two-points. The sides were tied 1-6 apiece at the halfway stage before Forkhill pushed on after the turnaround to win 2-9 to 1-10.

St Michael’s take on Collegeland at home on Sunday afternoon in the final Division 3A league clash of the weekend.

Division 3B Round Up

St Peter’s IIs continued their fine form as the overcome joint Division 3B table toppers Mullabrack on Friday.

The Lurgan men rattled off three goals for the second weekend in a row to claim a 3-16 to 2-9 triumph.

Keith Totten finished the game with two goals to his name while Anthony Leonard also rattled the net.

A Michael McVerry major helped Dorsey see off Killean as they ran up a 1-20 to 0-6 win away from home.

Clady and Redmond O’Hanlon’s couldn’t be separated on Friday night, with the sides tied 1-17 to 2-14.

Elsewhere, Killeavy IIs beat Madden IIs by two points in the end, with the final score line reading 0-14 to 0-12.
