Division 3A & 3B Match Reports – Week Six

Division 3A Round Up

Eire Og edged out a nine goal thriller away to Collegeland on Friday night to collect their second win of the Division 3A league.

Both teams raised plenty of green flags at either end of the field. Eire Og edged out their opponents 6-8 to 3-15 in the end.

Jake Walsh hit two goals for the winners. Callen Doran, Marc Fegan, Chris McConville and Liam Knox also rattled the net.

For Paul Doyle’s Collegeland side, Tom Murphy raised two green flags while James Kelly also rattled the net.

An Port Mor overcame St Michael’s 3-16 to 1-19 Cormac Kieran grabbing two goals while Gavin Kelly also claimed a major.

Forkhill battled past Middletown to win 1-13 to 2-9 with Cormac Toner hitting the net while Odhran Campbell finished with 0-6 from play.

Elsewhere, Ballyhegan saw off Lissummon on Friday evening with a 0-12 to 0-8 win. That’s Ballyhegan’s fifth straight win of the campaign and sees them rest at the top of the division.

Division 3B Round Up

In Division 3B, Thomas Davis won their fifth game in a row with a 1-18 to 2-3 triumph over Clady to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Adam Loughran hit the net for the hosts while Clady’s majors came from Gerard Grimley (penalty) and Malachy McGeown.

Redmond O’Hanlon’s picked up their first win of the 2024 league campaign as they overcame Mullabrack 4-13 to 2-5.

Charlie Magill, Adam Canavan, Paul Hughes and Daragh McNulty all claimed the goals for the home side.

St Peter’s IIs had a massive win over Madden IIs, 10-15 to 1-5 with the likes of Keith Totton and Finty Duffy among the goal scores.
