Division 3A & 3B Previews – Gameday 13

Division 3A

There is only one Division 3A league game on this weekend and there’s two huge points on offer for the teams involved. Lissummon, who are bottom of the league table, host Collegeland on Friday.

Lissummon have three fixtures left to play and they are on six-points at the bottom of the table. St Michael’s are just above them on seven-points while Eire Og sit in sixth position on nine-points.

Collegeland are concerned with the other end of the table as they hope to achieve a top four finish. They currently sit in fourth position and with three games remaining, their fate is in their own hands.

Paul Doyle’s side have hit a fine run of form and are unbeaten in their last five outings, winning four of them. They recently beat St Michael’s by five-points, 0-17 to 0-12, last weekend.

Lissummon on the other hand have been scoring well but leaking too much at the other end of the field. In their last five league outings, they have conceded 18 goals and won just one of those games.

Division 3B

There’s a top of the table clash in Division 3B1 this weekend as St Peter’s IIs host league leaders Thomas Davis. The two teams are well clear of the chasing pack but are still wrestling for that top spot.

Thomas Davis have won all nine of their league encounters this season and have a game in hand over Friday’s opponents. St Peter’s IIs have won eight of their ten fixtures but lost the other two.

The other two teams competing in Division 3B1, Redmond O’Hanlon’s and Dorsey, also lock horns on Friday. O’Hanlon’s are one-point ahead of their opponents having chalked up 11-points so far.

In Division 3B2, table toppers Clady are at home on Friday night as they take on Madden IIs. Killean will also have home advantage when they take on near neighbours Killeavy IIs.
