We are now at the quarter-final stage of the Senior Championship with just eight teams left in the running. This weekend, that number will be halved again to just four teams battling it out for the Gerry Fagan Cup.
Madden and Killeavy were the big scorers from the playoff rounds last weekend. Both teams kicked 0-25 and 1-22 respectively as they booked their places in the last eight of the Senior Championship.
Killeavy’s Fergal Boylan top scored across the four matches that took place last weekend. He contributed 1-6 for Steven McDonnell’s men as they saw off South Armagh rivals Mullaghbawn by ten-points.
There is a new leader to the Senior Championship hot shots list and it hasn’t come from the playoffs. Aidan Nugent’s haul of 1-10 in the final round of the group stages sees him shoot to top place.
Nugent has recorded 3-22 in the championship to date, with that 1-10 coming against Mullaghbawn in their most recent outing. Nugent also hit the net against Pearse Og and he raised two green flags that day.

Conor Grimley has climbed up the chart with his four-point haul against the Harps on Sunday. That sees Grimley sit on 0-25 now after four games and he has top scored in three of those outings for the Raparees.
Conor Turbitt, who led the leader board for two weeks, slips down to third position on a total of 2-17. Turbo rattled off goals in the opening two rounds of the competition against Carrickcruppen and Dromintee.

Kevin Robinson remains in the top four although he has also slid down the list ahead of the quarter-finals. The Maghery man has posted 1-19 in all, with his goal coming against Killeavy in round two.
Dromintee’s Jack McArdle hit 2-15 for his side as they crashed out of the championship during the group stages. Eoghan O’Neill has entered the hot shots list for the first time and he kicked 0-21 during Granemore’s participation in the competition.
Fergal Boylan has been a livewire for Killeavy and he has nailed a personal haul of 1-16 for his side. Joe Sheridan also entered the top scorers chart for the first time and he has registered 2-12 for Madden.
Cian McConville of Crossmaglen and Culloville’s Fergal Kieran are tied with Sheridan on the same tally. McConville has been responsible for 2-12 for the Rangers while Kieran chipped in with 0-18.
