After a weekend of exciting action, we’re now down to the final four teams in the running for Senior Championship glory. All four quarter-finals were extremely tight and the winners had to earn their victories.

Crossmaglen and Cullyhanna were joint top scores from the last eight meetings. The Rangers posted 2-20 in their triumph against Carrickcruppen while St Patrick’s hit 3-17 as they defeated St Peter’s after extra time.

Conor Turbitt was by far and away the top scorer in then Senior Championship last weekend. He rattled off a personal haul of 0-12 for Clann Eireann as they made their way past Killeavy by two-points.

Aidan Nugent remains at the top of the host shots list however and he currently sits on 3-29 after four games. His goals came in the group stages as he buried the ball to the net against Pearse Og (twice) and Mullaghbawn.

He was again to the fore against St Peter’s last Friday evening as they came from behind to win the game. Nugent finished as the top scorer on the night with 0-7, with 0-2 of that tally coming from open play.
