The Armagh Ladies Senior, Intermediate and Junior finals take place this weekend with three great games in prospect.

Junior Final – Lissummon v Keady – Sat 27 Sept – Crossmaglen – 1pm

Lissummon are boosted by the return of the Marley sisters which possibly gives them the edge this weekend. Nimah, Sarah and Catherine will offer their side plenty of experience and quality.

Both teams upset the odds to win their semi-finals and getting their hands on the trophy is the target now. Lissummon defeated Tir na nOg while Keady battled their way past a fancied Middletown side.

Both sides have come all the way from the preliminary rounds so they are well road tested at this stage. Keady have hit seven goals in the competition while Lissummon have nailed seven as well so it could be a real shootout.

Intermediate Final – Clan na Gael v Mullabrack – Sun 28 Sept – BOX-IT Athletic Grounds – 1.30pm

Clan na Gael are hoping to put two years of hurt behind them and finally get their hands on the Intermediate title. The Lurgan ladies have reached the last two finals, but came up short on both occasions.

Granemore proved too strong in 2023 while the Clans fell short once again versus Derrynoose last year. Clan na Gael have been battling at this grade for the past few seasons and will hope to make it third time lucky.

Mullabrack are in the decider for the first time since 2022 and hoping to claim their maiden Intermediate throne. They have rattled off six goals in their last two outings and they’ll be keen to carry that form into Sunday.

Senior Final – Clann Eireann – Sun 28 Sept – BOX-IT Athletic Grounds – 4pm

Clann Eireann have been the dominant force in the ladies game over the past number of years. This season, the back-to-back Ulster champions are chasing down a fourth consecutive county title.

They have a host of household names like Armagh captain Clodagh McCambridge and club skipper Niamh Henderson. The Coleman sisters, Dearbhla and Niamh, Roisin Mulligan, Cait Towe and Maebh McCambridge are other star names.

For Crossmaglen, this is their first appearance in the senior final since 2007 when they lost to Clann Eireann. But they have been in fine form this season, racking up big scores against Shane O’Neill’s and Dromintee.

Armagh defender and All-Star nomination Lauren McConville is the main player for the Rangers. Dual star Megan O’Callaghan is another go-to player while they’ll also look to captain Faye Fitzpatrick and Aoibheann McConville.
