Three Armagh players have earned All-Star nominations following their performances throughout the 2026 season. Tiernan Kelly and Jarly Og Burns have been named in defence, with Oisin Conaty selected up front.
Armagh ended their 18-year wait for an Ulster title this year. They defeated Tyrone, Fermanagh, Down and Monaghan (after extra time) on their way to collecting the Anglo Celt trophy.
In all, 12 counties are represented in the All-Star nomination list. All-Ireland winners Mayo have the most with 11 nominees. All-Ireland finalists Kerry are just behind them with seven players shortlisted.
Shortlist
It’s the fourth time Jarly Og Burns has been nominated for an official All-Star. But he has yet to get his hand on an award. He was nominated in his breakout year in 2019 as well as 2022, 2025 and this year.
The Silverbridge name was superb for the Orchard County as they retained their Division One status and won the Ulster Championship. Between playing at wing back and midfield, Burns excelled wherever he lined out.
It’s a very first All-Star nomination for Tiernan Kelly. He’ll hope to join Clann Eireann clubmen Barry McCambridge and Conor Turbitt in winning an All-Star as the pair picked theirs up in 2024.

Kelly’s 2026 campaign will best be remembered for the outstanding goal he scored against Derry in the opening round of the All-Ireland series. He also nailed a major in the Ulster final, which helped Kieran McGeeney’s men overcome Monaghan.
Conaty has been a regular among the All-Star nominations over the last number of years. The Tir na nOg man picked up individual awards in 2024 and 2025. He was also named Young Footballer of the Year gong in 2024.
Conaty was again superb this season, leading the way for the Orchard County. If he’s named on the Team of the Year for the third season in a row, he’ll join Kieran McGeeney and Steven McDonnell as Armagh’s only three-time winners.
