Shane O’Neill’s 2-18 Crossmaglen 0-10
Aimee Mackin was the star of the show as Shane O’Neill’s won the Senior Championship for the first time ever. Mackin shot the lights out with a personal tally of 1-12 while Moya Sheridan also rattled the net.
Caitlin Lenaghan and Sinead McDonnell swapped scores early on before Aimee Mackin got into the swing of things. She slotted over a trio of scores, including a free, to give Shane’s a 4-1 lead.
Cross came back into it when Blaithin Mackin picked up a yellow card after nine minutes, leaving her in the sin bin for the next ten minutes. Aoibheann McConville slotted over to get the Rangers ticking.
Lauren McConville made an outstanding burst through the Shane’s defence to set up a goal chance, but Brianna Mathers pulled off a super save. Crossmaglen did take on a score from Eva Cassidy while Mackin and Mairead Watters traded scores.
McConville then tied things up before the Mackin sisters, Aimee and Blaithin, both split the posts. Kellie Shields fisted over her first while Blaithin Mackin popped up with a further two from play.
A long ball in by Moya Sheridan was latched on by Aimee Mackin, who scrambled home the games first goal. Watters nabbed a second from the dead ball before the interval, leaving it 1-9 to 0-7 at half time.
Second half

Watters and Aimee Mackin exchanged efforts before Sinead McDonnell played through Sheridan for their second goal. McDonnell got her name on the scoresheet while Aimee Mackin kicked three on the bounce.
Mackin then traded scores with both Watters and Jessica McCreesh. The Mackin sisters fired off another score apiece in the dying seconds, to see Shane’s 14-points clear at full time.
