There are only four teams left in the Senior Championship and two sides will crash out of the race this weekend.

Killeavy v Dromintee – Saturday 3 – BOX-IT Athletic Grounds – 7pm

It’s a huge opportunity for both these sides to reach the final of the Senior Championship. Dromintee were last in the decider back in 2010 while Killeavy haven’t competed at the start of the championship since 1988.

The two neighbour clubs haven’t faced off that often in league or championship across the last few years. They met in the first round of the 2023 championship group stages, which Killeavy won by six points.

Dromintee are perhaps the surprise package in the last four but are through on merit. They have been exceptional throughout the campaign. They may be without Fergus Toale this weekend, while Ronan Quinn has been out injured.

Killeavy are facing into their first semi-final since 2022. Last year’s league champions were extremely impressive the last day out against Carrickcruppen with Fergal Boylan leading the way, kicking 1-7.

Crossmaglen v Clann Eireann – Sunday 4 – BOX-IT Athletic Grounds – 6pm

In the last five seasons, Clann Eireann and Crossmaglen have both won the Gerry Fagan Cup two times. They were both knocked out at the semi-final stage of the championship last year, and will have eyes on going at least one step further.

The two clubs lashed clash in the championship two years ago, also at the semi-final stage, when Clann Eireann came out on top. The Lurgan side also came out on top when they clashed in the 2021 final.

Clann Eireann were without 2024 championship winning captain Conor McConville the last day out. They saw off Madden two weeks ago, gaining revenge for their semi-final defeat to the Raparees last year.

Crossmaglen defeated neighbours Culloville with nine to spare in the quarter-finals. Ronan Fitzpatrick returned to action with his first championship appearance of the year, but Chris Crowley and Paul Hughes both missed out.
